How to make Al -Hawawshi Alexandrian like stores 




Al -Hawaoushi is one of the well-known machines in Egyptian cuisine and is served greatly in most restaurants, people love it from different regions and ages.

The ingredients


How to make Alexandrian Hawaushi


    1 kg of flour

    1 small yogurt box (200 grams)

    1/4 cup of oil

    1 tablespoon of sugar

    1 tablespoon of Khumbara

    1 teaspoon of salt

    2 cups of warm water


To the face


    1 egg

    2 tablespoons of milk

    A pinch of nizaqa

    2 tablespoons of sesame

    2 tablespoons of nigella


Chopped meat ingredients


    1 kg of minced meat

    1/4 kg of fat

    2 hot pepper - chopped

    1 kg onions, chopped, small cubes

    1 chopped tomato

    A pinch of nutmeg

    1 tablespoon of Hawawshi spices (its ingredients below)

   

To prepare the dough, put the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar in a bowl and mix them well Put the yogurt and oil into the mixture and add the water gradually during the kneading, continue to knead for about 7 minutes until you get a coherent and fragile dough texture


Put the dough in a bowl and cover it, then leave it to brew in a warm place for about 45 minutes or until it doubles in size


Put the minced meat in a deep bowl, add onions, salt, black pepper, sugar, hot pepper, Hawoushi spices, tomatoes, and nutmeg, and stir them well until the ingredients are completely mixed


After the dough is brewed, cut it into the form of equal balls in size


Spread the Hawoushi dough balls on the roller on a slightly sprayed surface until it becomes thin


Put a quantity of filling the meat on a layer of dough, spread it, then put another layer of dough over the meat, then close the ends of the dough


Put the loaf of the Alexandrian Hawawshi in a tray of oven painted with a little oil and leave it to brew for half an hour


Take the oven to 180 ° C and run the grill over low heat until heated


Grease the Hawawshi with a mixture


Take the Alexandrian Hawaushi out of the oven and his feet and enjoy his wonderful taste for lunch


Al Hawoushi spices


    1 tablespoon of dry coriander

    1 teaspoon of paprika

    1 teaspoon of Chinese kabbalah

    1 teaspoon cumin

    1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder

    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

    1 teaspoon black pepper


Mix all ingredients well until smooth and then put them in a completely closed bowl, use a tablespoon of the mixture on every 1 kg of meat.
